Say Hello…to our Charity of the Year 2015
As one door closes another one opens, and this year our employees took the vote to change the Charity of the Year for 2015. Employees were provided with the opportunity to nominate charities close to their heart and then vote for their preferred charity who we would work with throughout 2015 and we are pleased to announce that ‘Freddie’s Friends’ are Vivergo’s Charity of the Year 2015.
Freddie’s Friends was set up in memory of Freddie Appleyard, a relative of one of our employees. Freddie was born with a rare brain disorder which caused him severe problems including Epilepsy and Hemiplegia. Freddie’s Friends is a local charity who works with local families of severely disabled children to provide a range of services including support, specialist equipment and therapy as well as smaller items such as specialist toys or respite breaks for the families.
In keeping with Vivergo tradition, we once again hosted the Vivergo Christmas Raffle where we raised a staggering £1500 on the evening for Freddie’s Friends.
